John Williams to speak on MSHA liability and mine safety

On November 2, Attorney John M. Williams be speaking at the 2017 Southeastern Mine Safety And Health Conference in Birmingham. His presentation is titled, "MSHA Liability For Individuals: Understanding and Minimizing Your Risk".

Liability for operators is only one aspect of MSHA enforcement. Individuals are also at risk during investigations and penalty proceedings. This presentation provides an overview of the potential liability for individuals and practical pointers to minimize this risk. It also covers tips on witness preparation and testimony.

John is a partner at the Kentucky firm of Rajkovich, Williams, Kilpatrick & True, PLLC. He frequently advises coal and mining companies on safety matters and provides representation before the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) on mine safety matters.

The Southeast Mine Safety & Health Conference is a regional conference for mine operators and safety professionals. Over 600 mining and government officials will attend.
